Google AdX or Google Ad Exchange is a digital advertising platform used by web publishers to monetize their content by showing ads. Google AdX provides publishers with advertisers and buyers.
Google AdX started as DoubleClick Ad Exchange, an Adserver company founded in 1996. Later in 2008, Google absorbed it and renamed it Google Ad Exchange. It allows publishers to use real-time bidding technology to sell their inventories to agencies and advertisers. It makes the allocation of display ads and ad spaces easy as well as efficient across the web.
It also allows publishers to reach out to web advertisers, at the same time gives them control to choose what ads they want to run on their platforms. It’s a modern tool for smart web publishers.
